What is this?
Subnet Sprint is a timed mini-game by IPOK: 10 subnet / CIDR questions where answering fast AND correctly scores highest. It's built for network engineers, CCNA students, interview prep, and anyone who works with data-center IP blocks and firewalls.
It borrows Wordle's three-piece formula: ① a fresh daily set, same puzzle worldwide; ② a global speed leaderboard; ③ an emoji result grid you copy and share in one tap. Judging runs locally in your browser; only an explicit leaderboard submission uploads your chosen name, score, correct count, and duration and records the submission time. No LLM calls.
Why drill subnetting? Carving VLANs, writing ACLs, picking data-center IP ranges, reading BGP announcements — all of it rides on instantly computing network / broadcast addresses and usable host counts. Turn it into muscle memory and you debug faster.
FAQ
- How is the daily puzzle the same for everyone?
- The day's date seeds a generator that builds the questions locally in your browser — same day, same puzzle number, identical questions and answers for everyone, which is what makes the leaderboard fair.
- Is my gameplay uploaded?
- Judging happens entirely in your browser. Only when you tap Submit to leaderboard are your chosen name, score, correct count, and duration sent for ranking; the server also records the submission time.
- How does this relate to the IPOK main site?
- Subnet Sprint is a mini-game by IPOK, a multi-source IP purity / risk checker that tells you whether your IP is native, blocklisted, and how clean its /24 neighbors are.
