IPOK is dedicated to providing open, transparent network risk intelligence. Our data is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License.

IPOK's free IP detection APIs and its real-time IP profile attributes (including IP type classification, multi-source threat scores, and proxy/hosting flags) are open to the public, independent developers, and commercial research institutions free of charge, with no registration required.
However, as a condition of this free access, when you display, quote, analyze, or redistribute data from IPOK (ipok.io) in your applications, web services, academic papers, or public reports, you must strictly comply with the following attribution terms:
Required Attribution & Backlink Rules:
- Clearly credit 'IPOK' or 'ipok.io' as the data source in a prominent location on the page where the data, charts, or conclusions are displayed.
- Include an active, crawlable HTML backlink (without nofollow attributes) pointing to our home page at https://ipok.io.
- If referencing raw API responses in your code or documentation, maintain the reference links pointing back to our attribution policy page.
About the CC BY 4.0 License:
Under the terms of the CC BY 4.0 license, you are free to share, copy, redistribute, and adapt the dataset for any purpose, even commercially, as long as you give appropriate credit to IPOK and provide a link to the license. Failure to provide proper attribution and backlinks violates our terms of service, and we reserve the right to throttle or block API access for non-compliant endpoints.
